The International Automotive Task Force has published the new standard for quality management in the automotive industry IATF 16949: 2016 on October 01, 2016. In doing so, it replaces the previous ISO / TS 16949: 2009, which today is regarded as the worldwide established quality standard within the industry.
The standard has an even closer connection with the quality standard DIN ISO 9001: 2015, which is reflected among other things in the joint structure according to the High Level Structure. Through a continuous improvement process, the new standard aims to increase customer satisfaction, identify and eliminate errors and risks within the supply chain and production processes, and review the effectiveness of appropriate improvement measures.
